Nature Under Control

Humans have manipulated nature so much that the boundaries between the natural and the artificial have become invisible. In cities, in order to keep nature under control, parks and gardens are built, and even in the home, we need pots to fill our surroundings with nature. However, all nature that grows out of our control, for example, in cracks in concrete or holes in walls, is generally rejected and eradicated. My project seeks to explore this ambivalent human behavior between natural, artificial, submission, and power towards nature. For this purpose, I decided to collect plants growing in unwanted places around the Strašnice park with the idea of creating a shelter for “street plants”, and subsequently reintroduce the plants to the inhabitants of the neighborhood in a civilized version. This project also aims to create a reflection on the human attitude to the environment, nature is not governed by the rules and norms of society, on the contrary, nature regulates itself. Exhibition - We are fucked up, but don’t panic.
