Paula and her stepfather left on a trip from Quito to Tabacundo. During the trip, the girl became dizzy and threw up inside the bus. When they arrived at a gas station, Washington took her to the bathroom to clean her up. The suspect returned to the bus to get some clean clothes and when he returned to the bathroom he confessed that Paula's head was inside the toilet. When they arrived at the nearest clinic, the little girl was found to have polytrauma of all kinds. The doctors confessed the results to the police and the man was arrested.
